Although there is nothing new here in the way of technique or application, it is very nicely written and well thought out. I believe that it can significantly help a beginning trader who is looking to "baseline" their Trading Strategy. In that regard, I believe it would be worthwhile spending time working with because of its inherent clarity and definition. In any case, I bought the book to discover for myself if there was anything there for me personally as a 20 year market veteran, and a perennial student of the market. And I found my answer. Further, after communicating with the author, I found him to be candid, honest, and forthright in what he was attempting to convey in the book. Great little book overall. It's a relatively short book to ready but make no mistake, there is some meat in it.Got the paper copy btw.The author is to the point and does not spend endless pages talking about how much of a trading stud he is or dropping some Wall Street anecdotes.Learning to trade pullbacks properly is a must for anyone aspiring to get the upper hand on Wall Street. I am confident this book will help you firm up your game. It's not the last word on pullbacks trading but all the basics are very well covered and in my opinion the trading set-ups discussed are sound.Great job. I will more than likely give a shot at another of the authors book.

As the title implies, this book discusses in great detail different types of pullbacks and how to identify them on the charts. There are charts that clearly show the examples of what he is discussing. Even on a kindle, the charts were clear and easy to read. He really did a good job explaining how the ideas he was discussing played out on the charts (pointing out entry and exit points). I found the information to be helpful. Unlike many trading books, this book doesn't have any filler chapters where the author goes on and about how his method is the best and the rest are stupid and blah blah blah. He got right into the discussion of pullbacks. Another reviewer mentioned how the author tried to sell a trading course on his website but that is misleading. The only discussion of his website was in the last chapter of the book, after all of the author's points had been made. His website was not mentioned in the discussion of pullbacks at all.

Believe me, you'll read a lot of advice from many in other books but what you get in Secrets of Trading the First Pullback is great first step, even if you never take the course, that will take care of you for the rest of your trading life.

Still perfecting my own Pullback method, entry, exits, risk stops etc., if I had this book, I could of saved myself 16 yrs. lost in translation so to speak. luckily I was too poor to lose any money starting out. I read about how new traders without any experience blow up their accts, then spend the next several years learning how the market really works. Just buy this book and save yourself years of guessing and wondering. Pullbacks is in every chart, every market, every time frame. Always money to be made. Thanks!

Wow! I just got this book today -- so don't compare me to those who have "Worn out their copy"! This work is impressive, encompassing 886 page plus the Index! It IS this man's life's work. It is is interesting to read forwards/prefaces by several family members endorsing Jethro Kloss as they grew up with him. I have shelves filled with "Health Food Books" -- some of which are written just to make a profit -- that is not true of this book. "Back To Eden" has been published by the Kloss family since 1939! Although there are no photos of the Herbs used here, the recipes and applications are far-reaching. How many times do we go to a "family doctor" only to get useless shots to kill all bacteria -- even if what we have is a virus? How many useless and harmful vaccinations do we get for imagined diseases, when what we REALLY have is a lack of HEALTH? I really enjoyed this book's treatment of obesity: It IS simply calories in vs. calories out -- no 'magic' formulas needed -- with just a few recommendations given -- terrific. I've read a few of the Herbs mentioned, and I want to start a Homestead and grow ALL of them! I don't expect my review to get many likes, but I encourage everyone to get this book. A Lifetime's work for less than nine dollars? And you are hesitating? Seriously? Good fortune to you and your Family, and may God Bless each of you!

I have had a couple versions of this book for over 25 years and it has helped me get thru some major illnesses w/o having to go seek medical help. This version was supposed to have come out in '72 but it had a 1974 chart in it. wtf? The earlier years are the best i.e., the older the version the better because the Kloss family was still involved in the publishing whereas now i'm not so sure. The old, old versions which my mother had did not say "seek medical help" so I'm very skeptical about who's publishing this book now.

I was first introduced to this book in the very early '70s by my NATURALIST MOTHER. She was SOOO keenly knowledgeable of the MEDICINAL BENEFITS of many HERBS & SPICES that most people either take for granted, not realizing they're MORE THAN JUST SEASONINGS, or totally disregard as having any higher health benefits. This is the ORIGINAL "BIBLE" OF HERBS, a must have if you're serious about natural healing.

She has been around forever and I discovered her five years ago after I had cancer. A therapist recommended I get some of her books and cds to help me through everything. They are a breath of fresh air. The way she puts things really helps you deal with things and see them from a much more positive viewpoint. I currently have about four of her books and 4 cds in my car. I have also given it out as gifts to friends getting divorced or going through a rough time in life. She will change your life and speak to your soul.

This is the follow up to 'You Can Heal Your Life' and it is simply amazing, easy accessible read.'The Power is Within You' is my favorite work of Louise Hay, a must read for anyone interested in expanding consciousness. Many topics are covered, like relationships, prosperity, health, etc... My favorite chapters are the Totality of Possibilities and How to Love Yourself! (Both of those are also available as live seminars released on CD)Do the 'work' and it will deliver.

I have read 4 books by Louise Hay. They are all good and very helpful to me. This book is, like the others, very informative, inspiring and useful. Each book is a little different. So far I like this one, "You Can Heal Your Life," and "Heal Your Body" the most. Her book of "21 Days to Master Affirmations" is also quite excellent. Yes there is some duplication of thoughts and ideas here and there across the different books, but I am glad that I have each book as the differences are worth it.

I am still skeptical about Louise Hay's books, but I like this book. It is a 'followup' to a previous book of hers How To Heal Your LIfe. Its easy to read and digest. I've been a negative person all my life, and its hard, even with books like hers, to become LESS negative and more positive. Some days its a real battle. But I think this book is good.

This book changed my life for the better. The information in this book, helped me love myself more, helped me stand up for myself, and helped me not give away my power to others. This book helped me realize that I am strong, and that I'm a good person, and that it's ok to be me. It taught me to love my inner child, and be mindful to keep my self talk, positive. It reminded me how important it is to forgive others, and myself. I have read many books written by Louise Hay, and each one has taught me many things, to better my life. This is one of her best!

Louise, You did it again.I adore the simplicity that you use to explain how to make the pilgrimage of the thought process to reach the life of spiritual enlightenment, physical health and the abundance of goodness. Loving and forgiving yourself are the first two steps. Release the past, forgive and let go, move on. She covers every aspect of life, such as: Learning to listen to yourself and to trust yourself, talking to the child within you, parenting, and how to create a safer world to love and live your life. She has convinced me that the powers are within myself to create a better life. I am in my third year and see improvement in my life and I believe I have a ways to go. I never give up. It is the reading of this book that has just brought me a step further. She speaks of the infinite wisdom that resides in each of us. She is very convincing in encouraging you to trust that wisdom. She advises you of that awareness of a ,"need for change". It is the awareness that you'll develop that helps you see.

I can not say enough good things about this book!!!!!! The book has helped me let go of past hurts, revealed resentments that I never realized were buried within me. My plan is to read this book until I know it by heart. It has revealed emotions and helped me heal.

I enjoyed this book, although I thought she was a Christian author. She says many things the bible does say, but in a different way. I just call him Jesus, not the universe. He does love and help us. We do need to change how we think. When you change your thinking, you change your life. This is the essence of this book, and Ms. Hay directs you very clearly on "how to". I liked this book.

Louise Hay’s words are powerful, if we just let them sink in. How would my world change if I believe I had the power within me to heal the world? In this book, Louise allows us to see that we have just that—everything we need—right here, right now—to heal the world. A true message for our time!

This book fills a gap in the recent description of good historical walks in Seattle. The seventeen walks in the book cover almost all regions of the city of Seattle and give a cross section of different types of city walks. Included are parks, canyons, lakes and downtown historical buildings. Each walk has a map with points of interest included in the text marked for rapid location. The history of each point of interest is discussed in a paragraph or two. The book should appeal to the Seattle walker as well as the tourist who likes to get away from the typical city tourist shopping area.The particular value of the book is the historical account of each neighborhood for the walk, with old and new photos or old maps included. Stories are told of pioneer families who homesteaded along the parts of town where now there is a modern city. Seattle has many green spaces and the best of these are covered in the book.

As a nearly life-long resident (since 1957), I can walk some of these in my head and enjoy them as much as in person. As a retired person who is not as strong as I once was, I do recommend driving and parking along the way for some of the longer walks. Also, ours is not a flat city, which is part of its natural beauty. Mr. Williams also provides a lot of peripheral information I find fascinating, such as the origin of the rock building materials of many of the structures on the routes and mini-biographies of the settlers and founders of Seattle. I highly recommend this book to long-time residents and visitors alike. I hope he plans a Vol. 2.

Haven't tried any of the walks yet, but as soon as the monsoon season is over (if it ever is!)....I'm following the book, clearly illustrated and mapped pages one by one!The Alki walk, about 10 minutes away from my home...is the only one I've done (daily)...so far.Good book!

Just what I'd hoped for. I was raised 30 miles east of Seattle so I know Seattle, but not all that great. This book is well written, easy to read, very descriptive and loaded with great tips to get to know the area I'm from in the Pacific Northwest. I learned info that even my friends who've lived in Seattle their whole lives didn't even know!

Not really at all what i expected; actually a good deal more interesting! This is not your standard tourist see-the-sights compendium. It has a lot more explanatory history.

I really appreciated the deep dives on history. Lovely book.

This is an excellent, first class work translating an original manuscript of an interview of a native Mexica shortly after the conquest replete with Aztec myths, creation legends and history. For anyone seriously interested in Aztec times, its a "must".As best as I can tell, it is an unfiltered, unbiased and neutral printing of the informant's own words with many helpful explanatory notes..

The book is an excellent base for the study of prehispanic Mexico. It is extremely useful also for the student of Nahuatl language because it also offers the full original version of these texts in the companion volume. It gives a slightly different point of view to these two fundamental texts from the spanish translation by Primo Feliciano Velazquez. Although less poetic than the spanish version, it is probably closer to the litteral meaning of the nahuatl original, and thus very useful for the understanding of each fragment separately. It is a classical work which can be bought in full confidence.
