Excellent! One of the best on psychology, peak performance, flow I have read ! And i have read alot. If you are at the right stage...after much struggle ( like myself) and HARD work but now making great strides, etc...this book is priceless ! If ready, it will take you to the next level. Here you will find deep wisdom about the art of intuition, that heightened sensitivity to subtle feelings or perceptions we all have but too often ignore in our rush to action. This book is about how traders may cultivate their intuition to its full potential.The book is divided into four parts. The first and last explore the relationship between intuition and trading, with many relevant quotes from experts in a variety of non-trading fields, such as athletics and self-improvement, as well as from top traders. The middle two sections are interviews with nine top traders and trading psychology experts, each describing his or her own view on how they develop and utilize intuition and related skills in trading. An excellent reading list is included at the end. I found the interview with Charles Faulkner most interesting as it contained material not found in other published interviews with this master NLP practitioner and trainer.The jacket summary overstates one aspect of the book with the statement "...extensive exercises that will how you how to enhance your trading performance." There is indeed a lot of information, detailed examples, lists and the like that one might use to enhance one's intuition, but I do not see "exercises" in the form of a workbook, so take heed to set your expectations accordingly. On another note, the range of trader styles represented in the interviews is a bit too narrow in my opinion; most are floor traders. I might prefer a broader mix of perspectives."The Intuitive Trader" by Robert Koppel is a significant contribution to the trading literature. Five stars.

This book consists largely of interviews with quacks and floor traders who are not really taking big directional bets. It has limited insights and pales in comparison to Market Wizards, Soros on Soros, or even some history of money management like Fortune's Formula. Not worth the time at all.

This is from far one of the best trading books highlighting the psychological side of trading. Many thanks to Mr. Koppel for this great great book!

Koppel's book, "The Intuitive Trader" provides excellent insights into the ways to combine left-brain (logical) and right brain (intuitive) skills to gain the competitive advantage. Koppel interviews established masters and shows how each of them rely on both the left and right sides of the brain. An excellent book for anyone in the world of professional investing.

Mark Douglas's "The Disciplined Trader" is, quite frankly, inexhaustible in explaining the many facets of the psychology of trading, and much better than Koppel's many attempts at the subject.

If you trade for a living or are serious about understanding the interplay of subjective trading experience and objective market behavior,there is no better book on the subject.Thanks Amazon.com for recmmending this title.

In four chapters, Weems addresses the mystery of silence and prayer, the mystery of ministry, the mystery of marriage and mothering, and the mystery of miracles. Each chapter contains several anecdotes, journal entries and musings about Weems's attempts to recover her spirituality, particularly via rituals and nurturing relationships. While Weems's account of "the long dry seasons" of her spiritual journey is deeply moving, the struggle between her faith and scholarly knowledge remains relatively unresolved at the end, which may discomfit insecure readers. But others will appreciate Weems's honest assessment that her love affair with God has never quite returned ("not really, not like before") and admire her determination to comfort others who feel that God has become more distant. This prolific author has managed once more, to meet me exactly where I am, and voice the sentiments of my heart and spirit with her own words. By the time I received this book, my faith crisis was nearing its end, but to finally have the words to explain where I'd been, what I'd been feeling and how I knew the crisis was over was like breaking thru the surface after being underwater for a very long time!! I am so thankful that Dr. Weems takes pen to paper and meticulously plots out the steps, emotions, rationale and realities of this faith walk in such candid terms, that it becomes a lifeline to others who are experiencing these pivotal life moments. I remember being in a very dark place with broken family ties, the very first time I picked up one of her books. (The way the book even got into my hands had to be Divine). I opened the book and almost immediately, enlightenment!! Now here again, that same light! Thank you, Dr. Weems. From the depths of my spirit, thank you.

I read this book twenty years ago while living in Nashville. Picked it up at Vanderbilt Bookstore. Helped me through the dark then, helped me in the silence now. Strong honest voice. Something my heart could still relate to. Glad this author wrote it.

Thank you! I, too, have experienced periods of "God silence" and longed to restore the closeness of that relationship. As I read this book I found myself repeatedly saying "Thank you for writing this book!" It has been balm to my soul. So often lay people expect clergy to be in constant connection to God, as if a clergyperson has some deep, unbreakable connection that laypeople aren't privy to. The truth is that clergy also have their times of doubt and spiritual desert, and it's important to take the time and space necessary to tend to the needs. Church-folk do not often understand this and are more likely to cast out those who are experiencing this painful lack of palpable spiritual connection rather than recognizing that in many cases this is evidence of clergy burn-out and in need of intervention. Thank you Renita for putting a face on the issue and adding understanding.

Book was as described. Didn't like the stains on the cover, would have been find had that not been sent. But overall it's great.

This is a well written book that applies to any person in service to other. The author touches on the core needs of a minister. Although Weems writes this book from the female perspective, I found myself holding to the real issues of this book, that there are times we feel that God has stopped listening.

Great book. This isn't just for ministers, but all who struggle with finding God during dark seasons in life. A very transparent read that you can learn a great deal from. Amazing book.

Enjoyed all the stories and how these tough wild shifters meet their mates, bring confidence and love and respect into the mates' lives and get rid of bad guys along the way.I wasn't expecting the suspenseful parts for some reason, but they were handled well and nothing seemed forced for the sake of moving the stories along.

I loved the three stories and the bonus one at the end. Shifters with heat, suspense and hot sizzling sex. All three stories grabbed me in and I couldn't put it down till I read the whole thing. I would recommend this to everyone. Absolutely the best!

Excellent writing in all three stories, complex characters, twists and turns, and complete demonstration of love. Who could ask for more. I definitely recommend this series of books. Enjoy!

FIrst off, I want to say that I enjoyed this book. It was a fast read, with lots of action. Sarah was an interesting character, a strong, independent female with a special skill set of marksmanship. Devon was sexy and just the right mix of cocky and vulnerable. I liked that the shifters were cougars, it was refreshing to see catlike characteristics highlighted for a change.However, I would've liked to see more depth into Sarah's character. There were things that seemed rushed with her, her background, her personal history, her successes, her triumphs, her disappointments, etc. She was such an intriguing character and I wanted I more rounded understanding of her motivations. Another thing I would've also liked to see was her getting more into the fighting aspect of the novel. Sarah is a badass. She's super skilled and can kick butt. She talked a big game, but really only had one kill. It just seems to me that Sarah's character was set up to be kind of a rogue of a mate (one that didn't fit the mate mold), but then when it came down to the nitty gritty, she wasn't that unique.Anyway, the whole genetic engineering subplot was interesting and kept my attention. It was a good set up for the next story...I suspect Hunter will be finding his mate soon. But really, where this book shines is when describing the shifts between human and cougar. It was nicely done. And, if shifters existed, it would totally be how I would expect a shift from human to animal to human would happen.

Sarah Marksman is a cop/Forest Ranger and there have been cougar killing and siteting of a cougar on the Cascade property. She meets Devon and his brothers Hunter, Yalen, Brock, Luca and Liam. Plus Devon's parents Galen and Marie. The whole family are cougar shifters. So Devon takes her around the property and they do spot a cougar, but it's one of the Cascade cousins and he's been experimented on. This is the start of the mating relationship between Devon and Sarah. Someone is experimenting on cougar and coyote shifters. Many surprises both good and bad, so much betrayal, fighting, several kidnappings and lots of intense sex. A page turning enjoyable read.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Sarah Marksmen is a superior marksman, however she soon becomes entangled in a web of lies, secrets, and supernatural encounters with sexual yet erratic beings. She must face brutal truths and keep her emotions, feelings and desires from interfering with what she came to do. Especially when a erotically sexual beast is pursuing her unrelentlessly! Highly recommended for all who love an explicit paranormal thriller!

This is the second book in the series but the first one I have read, it was a quick romance Devon and Sahara with twists that kept everything interesting. Well pace writing with some very hot adult content.

A ranger is sent to deal with a sick nuisance cougar! Look out it is a sick diseased shifter! She meets her shifter mate! Someone knows about shifters and is experimenting on them! Enjoyed it, hope you do as well!

Book 1 was tantalizing and I'm glad to report this second installment delivers even more sizzle. This author knows how to hit all the right buttons! Great job.

The book is like a time capsule of photos.. Look at the people, their clothes, the constructions, the buildings, the stores, their signs, the cars, the streets.. It will take you back in time and you'll feel immersed in that time.The low rating isn't for the content, the content is fabulous.. The rating is for the production quality of the book. Here are my suggestion to the publisher: 1) Avoid converting black & white to sepia. 2) Review the tone banding; photos look good digitally but were not printing as good.

As many reviewers have pointed out, this book is indeed a revelation. This woman was an extraordinary photographer. The printing is fine, in spite of what some have said - maybe the book had a bad print run - but I'm surprised that all the photos were sepia-toned. Nothing in the text says anything about her wanting them this way, or having printed with sepia, and it looks a bit artificial. The cover is in true black and white; I think the rest of the photos should be.

This is a wonderful look into early urban American life, sans agenda, through the skillful and creative eyes of Vivian Maier.The print quality is truly exceptional... among the best I've seen in any photo book. The photos themselves are all outstanding. Her framing, compositions, and eye for light are remarkable to me.I am so glad that John Maloof stumbled on Ms. Maier's work and took the time & effort to present it so beautifully. Highly recommend this title for her fans.

I devoured this book, and not in a thoughtless, quick-read sort of way. In a "lost-in-the-photo-for-long-minutes" sort of way. The eye Maier had was, for me, one of the most pristine of any street photographer I've ever had the pleasure of viewing. Of all the photography books I've read (and I'm counting a significant number here), this one is my #1, right behind "50 Portraits" by Gregory Heisler. If you are wavering on buying it, do yourself a favor. If you're at all into street photography, oh my goodness don't delay. Beautiful book, and I'm looking forward to diving into more of Maier's work as soon as possible. She is absolutely an inspiration to get out there and get shooting.

This is a fascinating book full of magnificent photographs taken by a woman who was never known while she was living. Her artistic and emotional talent is evident in every photograph. Her photos, many of them in New York City, evoke an era that we all recognize from movies and books but hers are the reality of a moment in time she captured so eloquently. The story of how her photographs were discovered and the years of dedication of the discoverer in bringing her story and photographs forward to the rest of us is intriguing and moving. It makes one wonder about other undiscovered talent hidden in attics and lost in estate sales.

This is an incredible book, I like how Maloof curated the images of Vivian Maier. However, the printed photographs looks like converted to sepia, contrary to the photos found online and on the documentary produced about Ms. Maier.

I am a professional photographer and even teach a class to older adults. This is an amazing story about a woman who NEVER showed her work to anyone. Vivian Maier's pictures are fabulous and I bet as people are continuing to do research about her that she has studied photography. She is not an amateur as some think. She was very private in her art and in her vision. Her mom's best friend was a portrait photographer and Vivian must have been influenced by this woman. Most photographer love to show their work to others so this is really interesting because of her desire to document her environment but not share what she saw with others until now when her work was discovered by 2 men and scanned and now shown and sold in galleries world wide. Her images go right to the heart of life- they bring you in and you can not help but really enjoy her graphic direct vision of life. Although Vivian was a nanny in NYC and Chicago I do believe she was an artist and a fabulous documentary photographer. If you love great photography you might consider this looking at this work and coming to your own opinions. I am thankful she was discovered.

What can I say? OK, how about this... I love her photography, and her story (watch the documentary - it's very well done)... and the truth is I simply wish she was still alive, or had been alive when here work was "discovered" - she deserved to know the joy she brought to people, and perhaps would have benefitted from receiving our love, or a connection... but maybe it was the lack of those things that made her special - I'm not going to get that deep... get the book - it's beautiful.
