#18,434 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store)

So far I've read 18 Kurtherian Gambit (Bethany Anne books), 3 Boris Chronicles, five Age of Expansion books and now seven of the Nomad Chronicles books.; this is the first one I haven't enjoyed. I've given a low score before but this book just wasn't for me.The Nomad Chronicles (Terry Henry Walton stories) have been an interesting diversion from the rest of the KG universe. They are set on earth after Bethany Anne left and after the fall of humanity. They fell into the post-apocalyptic genre but did that so well. The verities of werewolf pack politics and how to survive and thrive in the wasteland were great. The cast of characters was well judged and well managed. The stories romped along but were internally consistent and enjoyable. Then you get this.... Oh, dear. AT the opening of the book is an act of deus ex machina with TH in the grasp of a Forsaken with unspeakable goals. Rather like book 3 of the Legend of Zero series the scenes Kirkus rapidly become repetitive and soon become a chore to read. I can appreciate the attempt to write a darker, more psychological book but that doesn't fit with the stories so far and doesn't work either. I can read quite quickly when I need to and soon found myself in page at a glance pace just to get this over with and move onto something more interesting book. I hope the rest of the series is more fun as this is the KG universe series with best character development and one of the more engaging and intriguing plot lines and story arcs. Let's reset and do better next time.

Thank-You, Mr. Martelle... Your writing is inspired, to be treasured and savored. Your plot, characters, dialog, and believability are wonderful, Sir. Your descriptions of the times after WWDE, are vivid, giving the reader a visceral delight in the savage drive to survive. TH, Char, and all the rest, are a great part of TKG Universe' experience.Five out of Five Stars, and NOT to be missed!

what a wonderful read this is. The action doesn't stop, and is totally believable for the characters and story line. Having read all the Nomad books it was sad to say goodbye to some but nice to reconnect with others. The introduction of new faces and their interaction with the team is something to look forward to in future books. Keep them coming.

Another satisfying read in the Nomad series. This far into the series you really do need to read all the rest otherwise you'll be feeling left out. It has a good stopping point, no cliff hanger but another volume is on the way.

I choose this rating because I love the series. I didn't like the jumping ahead in time but I understand keeping up with the KU timeline. I just wished we could have seen more of the kids growing up instead of having kids of their own. However, it wasn't disappointing with all of the action!

It skipped too much time trying to catch up with the other end of the series in space. I'm still asking questions from the last book. Seeing the baby growing in glimpses after learning she is a grown woman ashamed of her ears left a lot out

I'm not complaining, not at all. It felt like a shorter book than usual, but nothing was left open. At least for this story.I started it this morning, and was already royally pissed off by the third page. That means a lot. I'm not going to spoil anything, so read it yourself.

Craig u never disappoint this one had me on pins and needles I want to bash that forsaken bastards head in... i laughed but I cried more these characters are like family... will send u pics of my tomatoes!
